More and more often I keep getting reports from kind people about other not-so-kind people who have stolen this picture: [link]

There must be hundreds of people who have stolen this by now. I've given up on having every stolen piece removed from the internet, but...

I WANT EVERYONE HERE TO KNOW THAT I HAVE NOT, AND WILL NEVER, EVER, GIVE ANYONE PERMISSION TO USE THIS PICTURE FOR THEMSELVES! IF YOU SEE IT ANYWHERE OTHER THAN HERE IN MY GALLERY, IT HAS BEEN STOLEN!

...At this point I really do regret ever uploading that picture in the first place, but deleting it from my gallery now would only erase all proof that it's mine, so I reluctantly keep it up here.

Well, thanks for listening, everyone. ...And also I give an EXTRA BIG THANKS to every single person out there who has been nice enough to defend my art. You guys are awesome!

In other news, I'm taking a break from uploading any original artworks here. It's too hard stressing about what's going to get stolen and how to get the stolen piece removed.

Kudos to DA... they're totally awesome about how fast they respond to theft cases, but places like Photobucket suck majorly. It's near-impossible to get Photobucket to remove a stolen image, no matter who it belongs to. :/

You might see a fan art piece here now and then, but for my own sanity I want to take a little hiatus from uploading any more of my original stuff.




I do not accuse people of stealing without solid proof that they did so!
I am not a bad person, but I am VERY protective of my property.

They probably don't realize that someone's artwork can be just as important to them as other possessions, like mp3 players, toys, the refrigerator, and whatever else people have an emotional attachment to.

Artwork is the possession of it's creator, just like a $200 Wii is the possession of it's buyer. It's wrong to steal anything. :) *nods*

Oh gosh, Photobucket. That'll be tough.

It just makes me think how some people are so selfish and lazy enough to steal. There's no reason for it at all. Just a lame excuse for not having talent is what it is. Why can't they just learn? Such selfish brats, gah.

Thank you. DA was really helpful and removed the last stolen piece. :) As long as it's on DA, it's easy to remove... unfortunately a lot of it takes place off DA too, and that's hard to get rid of. Especially on Photobucket.

That bothers me too. She acts like he's her character. e_e
Now, under different circumstances... if she had, for instance, mentioned that she saw this character in my gallery and really admired him and wanted to draw some fan art, then I wouldn't be angry. Maybe I'd be thinking "you fail at fan art because you simply traced it..." but damn. >_<;; It really pisses me off when people claim stolen characters as their own.

Good luck cleaning things up. It's a shame so many people want to steal your art. But it does mean you must be an amazing artist. :aww: You're style is really great; no wonder there are so many thefts. :(
